Rayne – Bromance Demons – Deck

I LOVE YOU IN THE MOST PLATONIC WAY!

It’s like a bond so tight you just can’t stop thinking about it. We’ve been working on this longboard for over a year and love, love, love it! We go longboarding everywhere together. We skate the bowls, the streets and the hills. Sometimes we get crazy, we put on our leather suits and go racing. We do everything together!
The Bromance features micro drops, a mellow rocker and kick tail. Get your own – this ones mine!

**PS: There’s no room for secrets in a relationship this tight; the Bromance is the final revision to the saga of revisions we’ve made to the Fitter Bromodel series of limited edition longboard decks.

Loaded Boards – Tarab

The Loaded Tarab is designed to push the boundaries of modern longboard dancing. We launched our first Dancer in 2008, followed by the Bhangra in 2010. The Tarab builds on that history. Lightweight, durable and technical, the Tarab is intended to further the level of longboard dancing and modern freestyle.

Length: 47″ / 119 cm
Width: 9.5″ / 24 cm
Wheelbase: 31.25″ and 32.25″ / 79.4 cm and 81.9 cm
Kick Length: 7.875″ / 20 cm (tip to inner bolt)
Weight: 5 lbs / 2.3 kg

Flex Ranges:
Flex 1: 140-270+ lbs / 63-123+ kg
Flex 2: 80-190+ lbs / 36-86+ kg

Form and Function — Rocker, concave, symmetrical shape, kicktails, grab rails, and purposeful griptape combine to form an elegantly ergonomic platform for flowy footwork and the most frenetic freestyle dancing.

Damp and Durable — Bamboo and basalt construction keeps the Tarab lightweight, lively, and durable. A cork top layer complements the griptape design, providing secure yet non-abrasive traction across the standing platform while also damping vibration. Urethane-reinforced kicktails and unique UHMWPE rails enhance durability, protecting against a wide array of freestyle-inflicted damage.

Versatile Variations — Available in two distinct flexes. The Flex 1 features an extra bamboo veneer for added stiffness and damping. The Flex 2 is slightly lighter and noticeably more lively. Both flexes feature two truck-mounting options to accommodate a variety of riding preferences.

ROCKER
Rocker cradles the outer edges of your feet and creates a subtle locked-in sensation, providing a steady and natural platform for foot movement. Rocker helps keep your feet firmly planted in slides and also slightly lowers your center of gravity for enhanced stability.

INTEGRATED WHEEL WELLS
Wheel wells are pre-milled into the core to increase wheel clearance, allowing for a fuller and more uninterrupted standing platform than wheel cutouts.

CONCAVE
Mild concave promotes edge control and awareness without hindering comfort while carving and boardwalking.

SYMMETRICAL SHAPE
A fully symmetrical shape ensures optimal ergonomics for any maneuver in every orientation.

URETHANE REINFORCED NOSE & TAIL KICKS
Beefy and symmetrical nose and tail kicks provide ample leverage and a comfortable surface for catching tricks and balancing manuals. High-durometer urethane inserts are integrated in the deck to provide crisp pop with enhanced durability against impact and abrasion.

GRAB RAILS
Grab rails on the deck’s underside shave weight and improve control on hand grab tricks. Matte bottom finish keeps sweaty fingers secure.

GRIPTAPE
The Tarab’s purposefully designed griptape pattern provides traction along the rails for carving and sliding and a more aggressive grit at the nose and tail for manuals and shuvits.

CORK TOP
The top layer of cork offers secure yet non-abrasive traction for pirouettes and other spinning and pivoting footwork.

FLEX
The Tarab’s bamboo, basalt, and cork construction provides a comfortable balance of liveliness and vibration damping. Two flex options are tailored for maximum fun for any size rider.

UHMWPE RAILS
The top edge rails are reinforced with Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene to enhance the durability of the top rails when the board lands upside down.

GRAPHICS
The Tarab’s graphics were created by the artist Will Scobie to convey the fluidity of longboard dancing, the euphoric experience defined in its namesake, and the Moroccan cultural influence.

CONSTRUCTION
Bamboo core – continuous vertical fiber orientation for liveliness and energy return
Basalt fabric – structural composite made from volcanic rock. Way less splinters on hand grab tricks than with conventional fiberglass. Unique flex characteristics and damping properties. Higher strength-to-weight ratio and lower environmental impact than fiberglass.
Urethane-reinforced nose and tail – improved durability with great pop
UHMWPE – improved durability on top rail edges and shoulders
Cork top – increased damping and a noticeably grippy texture for controlled footwork over the non-gripped sections of the board
Bamboo veneer (flex 1 only) – added stiffness with more damp flex characteristics to provide a noticeably distinct ride from the flex 2

NAME
Tarab: an Arabic term used to describe the ecstatic feeling associated with listening to and playing music. The naming of the Loaded Tarab was inspired by ambassador Lotfi Lamaali’s Moroccan culture and love of music.

HISTORY
Adam Colton singlehandedly spearheaded the revival of longboard dancing in 2005. After building his own custom dancing boards, Adam collaborated with Longboard Larry on the Old School Dancer. Loaded designed the original Dancer with Adam in 2008 followed by the Bhangra in 2010.

Over the past few years, Lotfi Lamaali has been a primary driver of performance longboard dancing. He has also been busy growing the dancing community both in Paris and now worldwide through DockSession. Lotfi was heavily involved in the design and development of the Tarab, and his Moroccan cultural background heavily influenced both the aesthetic direction and naming of this board.

With over 10 years of history in longboard dancing, Loaded is committed to supporting the growing community around the world. Whether it’s working with talented riders like Lotfi, taking part in major events like So You Can Longboard Dance?, or hosting a local chapter of DockSession in Southern California, we’re proud to be part of this community and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Kebbek – Juergen Gritzner – Deck

You might recognize Juergen from the feature documentary ‘Lost in Havana’, where Juergen went to Cuba to donate 100 of his pro model completes to kids who need it. Juergen’s generosity and vibrant personality is what we loved about him well before we saw him skate. He has been a driving force in the European freeride scene with his involvement in Big Mountain Skate events. Be like Juergen and do something to spread some skateboard love.

Juergen lives in Austria, his backyard is filled with limitless roads, packed with wildly cambered hairpins. He needs a deck that he can count on going fast, but won’t cramp his feet up when he wants to just push around taking it mellow. The subtle features in this deck are apparent enough to lock you in, but don’t feel like daggers in your feet forcing you into position. You have the freedom to move around on this deck. Enjoy your time on this skateboard!

Loaded – Blood Slayer Chubby Unicorn

Once upon a time in a magical land, lions cavorted with lambs and unicorns munched on the fat of the sky.
Harsh times befell this land. Winter has come.
In these dystopian times the Chubby Unicorn can no longer be a beacon of peace and corpulence.
Behold the Blood Slayer!

A monstrous reincarnation of the classic Chubby Unicorn, the Blood Slayer boasts rocker, wide W concave, functional wheel well flares, and nose and tail kicks to create an ergonomic platform for downhill destruction and freestyle fury. Built-in grab rails and recessed, angled truck mounts shave weight, lower your center of gravity, and keep your steering geometry true. Urethane sidewalls and new truck hole inserts, a basswood core, and a UHMW base provide abrasion resistance, durability, moisture resistance, and vibration damping.

Length: 42.25” / 107.3 cm
Width: 9.75” / 24.8 cm
Wheelbase: 28.25” / 71.8 cm
Kick length: 7” / 17.8 cm (tip to inner bolt)
Weight: 4.9 lbs / 2.2 kg

ROCKER
Rocker cradles the outer edges of your feet and creates a subtle locked-in sensation, keeping your feet firmly planted in slides and providing a steady and natural platform for foot movement. Rocker also slightly lowers your center of gravity for enhanced stability.

RECESSED TRUCK MOUNTS
Recessed truck mounts drop your truck baseplates deeper into the deck for a lower ride height, increased stability, and improved sliding performance. They are angled to neutralize the wedging effects created by the rocker, keeping your steering geometry true.

WHEEL WELL FLARES
Flared wheel wells rise above the top surface of the deck, increasing wheel clearance while also creating ergonomic features that provide lateral support and extra leverage for your feet. These flares promote board awareness and keep your feet locked into contoured pockets while sliding, cornering, and tucking.

W CONCAVE
An intuitive W concave enhances rider control in all toeside maneuvers. The central hump is tall yet wide, providing strong lateral support near the transitions without compromising arch comfort. The W runs along the entire length of the standing platform to ensure maximum control in any stance.

SYMMETRICAL SHAPE
A fully symmetrical shape ensures optimal ergonomics for any maneuver and any style in every orientation.

NOSE & TAIL KICKS
Beefy nose and tail kicks provide ample leverage and a comfortable surface for catching tricks and balancing manuals. With a geometry designed to generate a usable “pop”, the Blood Slayer is ready to ollie, no comply, and shuvit to your little heart’s content.

GRAB RAILS
Two sets of CNC routed grab rails on the deck’s underside shave weight and act as chubby wubby love handles for predrifts and early grabs of all varieties.

GRIPTAPE
Generous application of medium-coarse griptape ensures ample traction and confidence.

FLEX
At the heart of the Blood Slayer is a basswood core that balances rigidity at speed with just enough compliance to dissipate energy from vibrations and impacts.

UHMW BASE
The belly of the beast is sealed with a layer of UHMWPE, the material commonly used in slide pucks and snowboard bases. This dense material helps filter out some of the higher frequency road vibrations while also providing a layer of protection against abrasion and moisture.

URETHANE SIDEWALL
A sidewall of high durometer urethane is poured around the board’s perimeter. Bonded to the wood and fiberglass skins, the sidewall protects the lightweight core and provides vibration damping throughout the entire board. The urethane formula has been carefully selected for its exceptional abrasion resistance, crisp pop, and resilience against hard impact. For the Blood Slayer we added urethane truck hole inserts for added damping and durability.

GRAPHICS
The Blood Slayer’s skull-crushing, lightning-blasting, fire-breathing graphic is an evolution from the original Chubby Unicorn illustration and designed by the same artist: Robbie Lee. Check out the Blood Slayer release video to see the story of how the Chubby Unicorn made his grotesque transformation.

CONSTRUCTION
• Medium-coarse griptape layer
• Epoxy/tri-axial fiberglass upper skin
• Pre-milled basswood core with urethane sidewall and mounting inserts
• Epoxy/tri-axial fiberglass lower skin
• UHMW bottom skin

HISTORY
Loaded’s love affair with downhill began as early as 2004 and reared its head in several prototype forms over the years, but it didn’t materialize publicly until the 2012 release of the Chubby Unicorn.

Adam Colton, Kyle Chin, Louis Pilloni, James Kelly and others pioneered contemporary downhill freeriding on the hills of Malibu using Chopped Comet Voodoos, Rayne Avengers, numerous Long Board Larry boards, and Roger Brothers Asyms. In 2010 we started working on our own downhill board in earnest drawing inspiration from the above boards with the intention of pushing the boundaries of what a downhill deck could be. The Chubby not only synthesized our ergonomic and performance preferences as riders but also radically advanced our design and manufacturing capabilities.

But why dwell on the past? The future is so much more metal! Farewell corpulent uni-horned equine! The Blood Slayer cometh!
