Flatspot Reppin Hard At Britannia Classic 2016!

One of North America’s most fun downhill skateboard races and freerides, The Britannia Classic, will be returning for its 9th year near Squamish, BC Canada, presented us! We are PUMPED!

Hey everyone, good news! REGISTRATION is now OPEN for the 9th Britannia Classic presented by us, Flatspot Longboards!

We are located in Vancouver’s Chinatown, and now online across Canada, have been a pillar in the Northwest longboard community and Unkle Events could not be more stoked on such a quality supporter stepping up.

We couldn’t be more hyped on being able to work with Lee at Britannia this year. We are aiming to bring some new energy and increasing the FUN on and off the mountain this year hosting a variety of $2 fun races, a new Learn to Race Camp and BBQ’s and Music each night at the campsite free. If you don’t know the shop, or us, than this is the time to get a good idea of who we are and what we are all about!

The annual Britannia Classic freeride and race will be held near Squamish, BC on May 27-29 just 40mins north of Vancouver. New for our 9th year is the addition of both a 1 and also a 3 day leather optional Freeride. In addition, we will be helping organize some fun new events such as ‘Learn to Race Camp’, ‘No hands Race’, ‘Switch Race’ and a ‘Buttboard Race’ on Saturday. Keeping with our roots, Sunday will still be main Race Day for Open, 17 and Under, Women and 30+ Master’s classes.

Friday evening at the campsite we will host a BBQ and Party for skaters and volunteers. It will be rowdy, you should probably be there. Camping on Friday and Saturday night for volunteers and skaters is included at near Brennan Park Rec Area where we can use the Aquatics Facilities and Dirt Pump Track. Both of which are thoroughly enjoyable. Check out our revised schedule and make sure to get signed up as spots are limited.

*Britannia Classic is generally in need of volunteers to help out each day including Thursday May 26 Hay Day in Vancouver and Monday May 30 traveling from Squamish to The Whistler Longboard Festival Venue.
