Comet – 2015 Ethos 40 – Deck
The biggest of the three Comet Ethos, the 40″ is definitely the best suited for speed. Its also made with a stiff 9 ply construction. Just because your going fast doesn’t mean you can’t get some epic pop or bust a rapid slappy. Take it to the park or rip the local run, its definitely for those who like to shred one board till its a toothpick.
For this set-up we just picked a bunch of stuff that was red. Just kidding. All that gear its awesome, it just also happens to be red. The 82a divine city slashers are a fantastic freeride wheel just small enough to not get owned by wheelbite. Bear Grizzlies get a fantastic amount of turn but can be nice and low with a flipped hanger. Bones reds are just fast, and nothing will prolong your life longer than two nice fat boner bars.

-Ceramic balls are lighter, stiffer, smoother and naturally corrosion resistant. This means we can use a lower viscosity lubricant which makes them fast right out of the tube.

-The unique feature of our lubricant is how the nanoceramic compound fills in deformations or asperities in the bearing. These deformations cause friction and heat around them which hardens the nano-ceramic compound to that specific area. This micro coating is 5 times the hardness of the host alloy and has a molecular bond with the host metal, filling in all the asperities and eliminating friction over time.
-The coefficient of friction is the lowest in the field of Tribology at 0.003% creating a near frictionless surface. Mainly because the nanoceramic compound eliminates all asperities.
