Flatspot rain grooved wheels are upcycled from lightly used scrubbed wheels that are less than ideal for gripping and sliding clean lines in the dry, but perfect for being grooved for the wet.
Each wheel is checked for solid cores, good urethane, and no flatspots and then trimmed and grooved. These cuts give wheels the added edges and channels necessary to flex, grip and push out water to help you hold lines and maintain controlled slides in ways you’d never be able with standard factory wheels.

With grooves in your wheels you’ll be able to grip in the rain! This technique is key for skateboarding on wet roads. The grooves allow for the water on the road to escape from bellow the wheels, allowing for more contact with the road. Additionally, the edges of wheels flex to help with grip. Grooving adds more edges resulting in increased grip when turning. Combining the reduction in water-to-wheel surface and increase in edge grip means more traction and control and less hydroplaning and icing out.
