May kicks off the season with a LOAD of events, all month long. We suggest getting your calendar, its a lot to take in.

• May 7th – North Vancouver City Fest
• May 12th – UBC learn to Stop
• May 18th – Clark Park Learn to Stop
• May 19th-25th – Danger Bay XV AND Jakes Rash
• May 26th – UBC Learn to Stop
• May 27th-29th – 9th Anual Britannia Classic

May 7th – North Vancouver City Fest

The 4rd Annual Longboard Race at Cityfest is going to be the best. Adding to the longboard race will be a boarder-x obstacle course with new obstacles, learn to stop sessions for new and improving skaters and skate-carnival games from highest ollie and hippy jump to longest slide.

May 19th-25th – Danger Bay XV and Jakes Rash

Danger Bay is the longest standing race in North America. Not because its the gnarliest or most spectacular race course. But because it’s an amazing event, Coast Longboarding knows how its done. Before the race is Egmont Grind, which is a push race that ends in a bomb onto a dock that launches you into the ocean. Then there is the Race, always a good time; A parade through Pender Harbor for the town festival; A freeride slide jam, which is always mind blowing; THEN its JAKES RASH

May 27th-29th – 9th Anual Britannia Classic Presented by Flatspot Longboards

We couldn’t be more hyped on being able to work with Lee at Britannia this year. We are aiming to bring some new energy and increasing the FUN on and off the mountain this year hosting a variety of $2 fun races, a new Learn to Race Camp and BBQ’s and Music each night at the campsite free. If you don’t know the shop, or us, than this is the time to get a good idea of who we are and what we are all about!

May 12th, 18th and 26th – Learn to Stop Sessions

This session is a Free Public Lesson for anyone who wants to learn the basics of stopping on a longboard. It will be a good overview of both foot breaking and hands down sliding. EVERYONE AND ANYONE IS WELCOME (don’t be shy). We even have demo gloves and slide wheels for demo!
