Sector 9 – Race Form Offset – 71mm

ABOUT THE WHEEL
Our new 71mm Race Formula Wheel is a skate nerds dream; absolutely no frills and all thrills. It boasts a 61mm contact patch for great cornering while the offset core placement and new core make for surprisingly friendly slides. The frilless shape has perfect sharp edges for grip and turns while the Cosmic core is fiberglass infused for strength and increased roll speed.
ABOUT THE CORE
Core technology has come along way and is one of the final frontiers for the progression of the modern skateboard wheel. Many avenues of wheel shape and urethane compounds have been hammered out but, the inner world of the core has been largely unexplored. We have finally stepped up with our own core design, and the list of positives is just the beginning: from increased roll speed, to better controlled slides.
Welcome to the revolutionary COSMIC CORE!

ABOUT THE URETHANE
If the average rider really knew what our wheels went through to make it into our line-up, he might be confortable putting them on his car. On a serious note: these wheels are nitpicked through and through before even become prototypes. Then we dissect them, test them, rework them and test them again. This process often seems tedious, but it has proven successful time and time again. Whether it is our Race Formula, our Shredthane or our Nineballs, these wheels all stand up to the rigors of the road and perform for you when you need them most.

Orangatang – Kegel – 80mm 80a/83a

Having trouble containing yourself after a hearty feast?

Can’t quite seem to raise the drawbridge all the way?

Is it time to tighten up the honey pot now that baby bear got outta there?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it may be time to consider making Kegels a part of your personal workout regimen.

The Orangatang Kegel is your ticket to high-speed steamroller action and the obliteration of a variety of small mammals. The large 80mm diameter generates high roll speeds while a moderate width of 56 mm allows for a versatile balance of traction and slide response. A cantilevered outer lip with a straight profile is pliable enough to hug the road for grip while also ensuring consistent performance as the wheel wears. The shorter inner lip features a subtle inward bevel for race-worthy traction and predictable drifts. A fully-exposed 46mm core with a deep “valley”-shaped cross section reduces weight while providing good acceleration, lots of momentum, and crisp slides.

The Kegel is poured in our proprietary Happy Thane formula for high roll speed, excellent traction, and smooth, predictable drifts.

Are you ready to stop dreaming and start living a success story?

Free Wheel – Thoughts – 70mm/79a

Don’t worry – the Free Thoughts wont get you on the “no fly list”, but they will definitely open up eyes to many slipping and sliding possibilities. But once you get into free thinking, you might find it hard to stop. The platinum thane acts unlike almost all other wheels. It slides like no bodies business and doesn’t leave thane lines at all. Which means that these radical shred balls last a LONG TIME. Not something that many freeride wheels can boast about. In any case – let the skating speak for itself and check out our review!

Bigger Biggie Hawgs – 73mm

Hawgs Wheels high-rebound formula, in 76a grey, 78a blue, and 80a white. These will grip in the most demanding situations but will break out smooth for predrifts and check slides.

Divine – City Slashers – 64mm

One of Divine’s best selling wheels! Whether you’re ripping down the hills of SF, tearing through a ditch or sliding through the switchbacks on your favorite mountain road – these wheels will get the job done! A GREAT all around wheel, “City Slashers” are perfect for smaller cruisers, pool decks, wider/longer street boards, and freeride sets ups. They come in 78a, 82a, and 86a, so choose your hardness and get to slashing!!

Sucrose – Bogart – 61mm 78a

Levi Green and I went out and skated the Sucrose Initiative bogarts. Which was a fantastic idea, because they are super fun. We had reviewed the Free Thoughts previously, which left no lines at all. These little shredballs on the other hand were SUPER dumpy. Speaking of which, I interupted the session half way through to destroy a porta-potty at a nearby construction site (sorry construction dudes, it was urgent). The Bogarts are made with the Fusion Formula (which is in between their freeride and race formula) and the  Momentum Core. These work nicely as a go quick freeride wheel but would also be more than suitable for a double kick alleyway destroyer.

Hawgs – Biggie Hawgs – 70mm

Biggie Hawgs are the go-to wheel for many of our racers. With the FSU core, these wheels have great acceleration out of corners, ample grip and roll speed. Centerset with a wide contact patch makes these wheels grip like a vice, but still break out into a smooth and predictable slide. If you’re skating fast, technical runs, then Biggie Hawgs should be your number one choice.
