Keefer St. Night Market – Flatspot Longboards

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night from 6:30pm to 11pm Keefer St. becomes a pedestrian only night market! For mind blowing Karaoke come on saturday nights!

Flatspot has had a booth in the Keefer St. night market, and its possibly our favorite park of the week. The booth beside us has the most amazingly talented and humbly priced masseuse. The booth across from us sells big bags of candy for 2$! Basically its heaven. We gorge on awesome street food (the popcorn chicken is highly recommended), polish it off with a bubble tea, and maybe skate in the parking lot for a few minutes. Can’t go wrong with an afternoon like that.

The stage comes out on Saturday nights. There are all kinds of performances, but most importantly, Karaoke. The Karaoke is genuinely awesome, and entirely local talent! But you don’t need a stage to dance. Jon Win Cheung teaches dancing classes every night to keep you fit and healthy. He is 79 and dances every day, and is possibly the healthiest man I have ever met.

Basically, the night market is awesome. Its totally free to wander through (unlike the richmond st. night market), and its growing every day! There are open Majong classes, music, all the food you could want, and some other random stuff you never knew you wanted in the first place! We are super stoked that its happening, enjoy taking part in it, and hope you come by to visit!

Chinatown is our home, and we like it here. Not only do we work here, but we actually live here as well, literally, right upstairs from the shop. If you want to read about other rad places and happenings in chinatown check out THIS ARTICLE.
