Flatspot Longboards: These Wheels Byron and K-Rimes

These wheels have some of the longest lasting urethane available. Not a single corner was cut in the design or manufacturing of These Wheels.

Powel Peralta worked with some of the most talented downhill riders to make the best wheel they could. Kevin Reimer is one of the most decorated downhill racers of all time, and Byron Essert is one of the most talented skaters for his age. These Wheels manufacture their own wheels, and so you will not find their formula or core design anywhere else.

We wont deny that they are expensive wheels. It almost seems absurd to spend the amount you could to buy two sets of wheels. But in this case you really do pay what you get for. The urethane for the Byron Esserts is some of the longest lasting available on the market. And the K-Rimes Stage Ones are beyond grippy as a race wheel. There is a handy way to think about the value of wheels, that we call the Slide-Per-Dollar. How much time can you spend sideways on your wheels before they core? If you take this into account, some super buttery freeride wheels could start to seem rather expensive because they die so quick! If a set of Byrons lasts you twice as long as a set of other freeride wheels, they may turn out to be cheaper. Sometimes its good to look at the bigger picture. But expensive or not, they are nice wheels.
