Free Wheel – Thoughts – 70mm/79a

Don’t worry – the Free Thoughts wont get you on the “no fly list”, but they will definitely open up eyes to many slipping and sliding possibilities. But once you get into free thinking, you might find it hard to stop. The platinum thane acts unlike almost all other wheels. It slides like no bodies business and doesn’t leave thane lines at all. Which means that these radical shred balls last a LONG TIME. Not something that many freeride wheels can boast about. In any case – let the skating speak for itself and check out our review!

Sucrose – Bogart – 61mm 78a

Levi Green and I went out and skated the Sucrose Initiative bogarts. Which was a fantastic idea, because they are super fun. We had reviewed the Free Thoughts previously, which left no lines at all. These little shredballs on the other hand were SUPER dumpy. Speaking of which, I interupted the session half way through to destroy a porta-potty at a nearby construction site (sorry construction dudes, it was urgent). The Bogarts are made with the Fusion Formula (which is in between their freeride and race formula) and the  Momentum Core. These work nicely as a go quick freeride wheel but would also be more than suitable for a double kick alleyway destroyer.

Hawgs – Biggie Hawgs – 70mm

Biggie Hawgs are the go-to wheel for many of our racers. With the FSU core, these wheels have great acceleration out of corners, ample grip and roll speed. Centerset with a wide contact patch makes these wheels grip like a vice, but still break out into a smooth and predictable slide. If you’re skating fast, technical runs, then Biggie Hawgs should be your number one choice.

ABOUT THE URETHANE
If the average rider really knew what our wheels went through to make it into our line-up, he might be confortable putting them on his car. On a serious note: these wheels are nitpicked through and through before even become prototypes. Then we dissect them, test them, rework them and test them again. This process often seems tedious, but it has proven successful time and time again. Whether it is our Race Formula, our Shredthane or our Nineballs, these wheels all stand up to the rigors of the road and perform for you when you need them most.
