Gullwing – Sidewinder 10.0in – Black

The Gullwing Sidewinder trucks have a patented design that has been turning heads since they were first introduced. What makes these trucks so special is that they have two pivot points which allows the trucks to turn twice as sharp and fast as a standard truck. This double action pivot allows the rider to generate speed using their own turning momentum. The Gullwing Sidewinder trucks are a sidewalk surfers dream. Ask anyone that has ridden them and the truth will be told.

Please be aware that these trucks must be set up on an appropriately shaped deck with proper clearance in order to function properly and avoid wheel bite.

Orangatang – Cage – 73mm

Tall and charming, The Cage holds it together with an air of calm and collected charisma… but is always prepared to lose its shit and get wild. The Cage is here to deliver when the script calls for inordinate momentum, firm yet pliable grip, and high-speed slides. Step away from the bike… and get your downhill fix on four wheels.

Purchase price includes set of 4 wheels.

FAST & BUTTERY – The Cage features gently bevelled sidewalls, rounded edges, and a stone-ground contact patch for buttery-smooth slides right out of the box. At 73mm tall and 48mm wide it offers high roll speed and reliable traction for fast and technical downhill freeriding.

STRONG, SUPPORTIVE CORE – A custom 38x38mm core with a deep “valley”-shaped cross section keeps the lips firmly supported like a burly botox injection, promoting smooth, consistent slides and even wear.

PEACHY THANE FORMULA – The Cage is poured in our proprietary Peachy Thane for a balance of buttery drifts and high durability. Slightly grippier than Euphorethane yet slipperier than Happy Thane, Peachy Thane offers a balanced blend of buttery speed control, long slides, and a cush ride.

Orangatang – Kegel – 80mm 80a/83a

Having trouble containing yourself after a hearty feast?

Can’t quite seem to raise the drawbridge all the way?

Is it time to tighten up the honey pot now that baby bear got outta there?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, it may be time to consider making Kegels a part of your personal workout regimen.

The Orangatang Kegel is your ticket to high-speed steamroller action and the obliteration of a variety of small mammals. The large 80mm diameter generates high roll speeds while a moderate width of 56 mm allows for a versatile balance of traction and slide response. A cantilevered outer lip with a straight profile is pliable enough to hug the road for grip while also ensuring consistent performance as the wheel wears. The shorter inner lip features a subtle inward bevel for race-worthy traction and predictable drifts. A fully-exposed 46mm core with a deep “valley”-shaped cross section reduces weight while providing good acceleration, lots of momentum, and crisp slides.

The Kegel is poured in our proprietary Happy Thane formula for high roll speed, excellent traction, and smooth, predictable drifts.

Are you ready to stop dreaming and start living a success story?

Sucrose – Bogart – 61mm 78a

Levi Green and I went out and skated the Sucrose Initiative bogarts. Which was a fantastic idea, because they are super fun. We had reviewed the Free Thoughts previously, which left no lines at all. These little shredballs on the other hand were SUPER dumpy. Speaking of which, I interupted the session half way through to destroy a porta-potty at a nearby construction site (sorry construction dudes, it was urgent). The Bogarts are made with the Fusion Formula (which is in between their freeride and race formula) and the  Momentum Core. These work nicely as a go quick freeride wheel but would also be more than suitable for a double kick alleyway destroyer.

Sector 9 – Race Formula Steamrollers – 73mm

ABOUT THE WHEEL
Steamrollers were created to offer maximum grip and roll speed for racers, but we also have found them to be amazing on commuter boards, because they roll over almost everything and make rough roads feel smooth. The thick, square lips help to carry your momentum and hurl you around corners.

Style
+ Downhill

FEATURES
Diameter: 73mm
Hub: Centerset
Edge: Square Lip
Contact Patch: 70mm
These Race Formula Wheels come with the following
DUROMETER options:
WHITE = 75a
YELLOW = 78a
BLUE = 80a

ABOUT THE URETHANE
If the average rider really knew what our wheels went through to make it into our line-up, he might be confortable putting them on his car. On a serious note: these wheels are nitpicked through and through before even become prototypes. Then we dissect them, test them, rework them and test them again. This process often seems tedious, but it has proven successful time and time again. Whether it is our Race Formula, our Shredthane or our Nineballs, these wheels all stand up to the rigors of the road and perform for you when you need them most.

Flatspot Mission Statement

What is skateboarding? Why do people do it? Where is it going, and how is progress in skateboarding measured? Where does one discipline begin and the other end?

It is manner in which these questions are answered that creates the diversity and wide cultural vocabulary that populates our world of skate. It is not for us to give answers. For our customers or our community, or anyone.

Our place is merely to facilitate the range of ways in which skateboarding is approached. There is no correct way, there is no superior method, all that exists is play and expression. All shapes, forms and styles are welcome at Flatspot.

Just no scooters.
