Landyachtz Longboards Presents: FLATSPOT Highway Jam XIX
Some of our best jams have been Landy Jams. Remember the Hawgs Tracer Jam?! Or the Ramathorn release Jam?! or How about the LY Snowskate Highway Jam?! We have had some of the best times with the Eh Team. Despite sharing a city with each other, we only rarely have the pleasure of throwing these Highway Jams together. When we do, they are epic, you don’t want to miss this!
** Note the 8am meet-up time! We want to get as much skating in as we can!
Facebook Event Page here:https://www.facebook.com/events/337050120167869/
August 11th, 2018 – 8am until 5pm
The format of the event is simple. We jam a full size school bus with as many people as we can fit (which is 50). The bus then takes us all to three or four locations where we skate. We spend a good portion of the day without any access to public transit. That means once you get on the bus, you’re on it till it gets back into the city. So be prepared to get rad and have fun all day!
We supply lunch and water. BUT OUR SUPPLIES ARE NOT BOTTOMLESS. Bring extra water and food! You will likely not be able to buy food or drinks.
If you are not on the bus do not follow/attend the event in your own vehicle unless asked to do so. This is an Exclusive event for Pass and Ticket holders only. Sorry.
You must sign a waiver to attend the event. They can be found on this FB page, on our blog, or you can pick one up at the store.
8:00 AM – Be at Flatspot Longboard Shop, 112 E. Pender St. Chinatown. We will not wait for you.
8:15 – 4:00 PM – We skate three or four locations, and eat lunch somewhere in the middle of it all.
5 ish – Arrive back at Flatspot.
GET ON THE BUS!
Max Capps has been in the game for a long while as a top level skater but what most people don’t realize is that chopping boards got him into the game in the first place. Since the mid-2000’s, Max has tried to make the most out of every board by modifying them to have special functionality. Back in May, Max made a trip back to Vancouver for Danger Bay and stopped by Flatspot to chop a few boards while he was in town.
Toques…or beanies or whatever else you want to call them serve many great purposes. While they look cool and keep you warm they can double as a small bag, be used to wipe sweat from your brow and even used to clean up a spill. Ultimately use them how you will.
We’ve made a special run of pint sized toques for those babies and little ones in your life.Hook them up and guaranteed they’ll be the coolest kid on the block…or stroller.
*Please note color of toque varies slightly from photo…especially with the Dark Navy Blue and Grey*
