    Description

Once upon a time in a magical land, lions cavorted with lambs and unicorns munched on the fat of the sky.
Harsh times befell this land. Winter has come.
In these dystopian times the Chubby Unicorn can no longer be a beacon of peace and corpulence.
    Behold the Blood Slayer!

A monstrous reincarnation of the classic Chubby Unicorn, the Blood Slayer boasts rocker, wide W concave, functional wheel well flares, and nose and tail kicks to create an ergonomic platform for downhill destruction and freestyle fury. Built-in grab rails and recessed, angled truck mounts shave weight, lower your center of gravity, and keep your steering geometry true. Urethane sidewalls and new truck hole inserts, a basswood core, and a UHMW base provide abrasion resistance, durability, moisture resistance, and vibration damping.

    ROCKER
Rocker cradles the outer edges of your feet and creates a subtle locked-in sensation, keeping your feet firmly planted in slides and providing a steady and natural platform for foot movement. Rocker also slightly lowers your center of gravity for enhanced stability.

    RECESSED TRUCK MOUNTS
Recessed truck mounts drop your truck baseplates deeper into the deck for a lower ride height, increased stability, and improved sliding performance. They are angled to neutralize the wedging effects created by the rocker, keeping your steering geometry true.

    WHEEL WELL FLARES
Flared wheel wells rise above the top surface of the deck, increasing wheel clearance while also creating ergonomic features that provide lateral support and extra leverage for your feet. These flares promote board awareness and keep your feet locked into contoured pockets while sliding, cornering, and tucking.

    W CONCAVE
An intuitive W concave enhances rider control in all toeside maneuvers. The central hump is tall yet wide, providing strong lateral support near the transitions without compromising arch comfort. The W runs along the entire length of the standing platform to ensure maximum control in any stance.

    SYMMETRICAL SHAPE
A fully symmetrical shape ensures optimal ergonomics for any maneuver and any style in every orientation.

    NOSE & TAIL KICKS
Beefy nose and tail kicks provide ample leverage and a comfortable surface for catching tricks and balancing manuals. With a geometry designed to generate a usable “pop”, the Blood Slayer is ready to ollie, no comply, and shuvit to your little heart’s content.

    GRAB RAILS
Two sets of CNC routed grab rails on the deck’s underside shave weight and act as chubby wubby love handles for predrifts and early grabs of all varieties.

    GRIPTAPE
Generous application of medium-coarse griptape ensures ample traction and confidence.

    FLEX
At the heart of the Blood Slayer is a basswood core that balances rigidity at speed with just enough compliance to dissipate energy from vibrations and impacts.

    UHMW BASE
The belly of the beast is sealed with a layer of UHMWPE, the material commonly used in slide pucks and snowboard bases. This dense material helps filter out some of the higher frequency road vibrations while also providing a layer of protection against abrasion and moisture.

    URETHANE SIDEWALL
A sidewall of high durometer urethane is poured around the board’s perimeter. Bonded to the wood and fiberglass skins, the sidewall protects the lightweight core and provides vibration damping throughout the entire board. The urethane formula has been carefully selected for its exceptional abrasion resistance, crisp pop, and resilience against hard impact. For the Blood Slayer we added urethane truck hole inserts for added damping and durability.

    GRAPHICS
The Blood Slayer’s skull-crushing, lightning-blasting, fire-breathing graphic is an evolution from the original Chubby Unicorn illustration and designed by the same artist: Robbie Lee. Check out the Blood Slayer release video to see the story of how the Chubby Unicorn made his grotesque transformation.

    HISTORY
Loaded’s love affair with downhill began as early as 2004 and reared its head in several prototype forms over the years, but it didn’t materialize publicly until the 2012 release of the Chubby Unicorn.

Adam Colton, Kyle Chin, Louis Pilloni, James Kelly and others pioneered contemporary downhill freeriding on the hills of Malibu using Chopped Comet Voodoos, Rayne Avengers, numerous Long Board Larry boards, and Roger Brothers Asyms. In 2010 we started working on our own downhill board in earnest drawing inspiration from the above boards with the intention of pushing the boundaries of what a downhill deck could be. The Chubby not only synthesized our ergonomic and performance preferences as riders but also radically advanced our design and manufacturing capabilities.

But why dwell on the past? The future is so much more metal! Farewell corpulent uni-horned equine! The Blood Slayer cometh!
