#FlatspotDeckofTheDay – Subsonic Ruse

Subsonic skateboards has been dropping new shapes and updating old ones. The the latest rendition of the Subsonic Ruse is better than ever, with an epic throwback graphic.

The Subsonic Ruse is a symmetrical drop-through board with functional nose/tail kicks. This makes for a low riding height (nice for pushing), but also leaves the board completely functional for all and any flat land, fancy, dick around session shennanigans you might get distracted by along the way. The concave has a shape similar to a figure eight. It tapers in at the center of the board, but wraps along the cut outs towards the neck of the board and merge into a super subtle micro drop. Combined with rocker, it makes for a surprisingly comfy standing platform that is totally suitable for dancing. This board isn’t just maple either, it has fibreglass embedded between the veneers, allowing for a lighter, stronger and longer lasting board!

These deformations cause friction and heat around them which hardens the nano-ceramic compound to that specific area. This micro coating is 5 times the hardness of the host alloy and has a molecular bond with the host metal, filling in all the asperities and eliminating friction over time.
    -The coefficient of friction is the lowest in the field of Tribology at 0.003% creating a near frictionless surface. Mainly because the nanoceramic compound eliminates all asperities.
    -Extremely low water washout
    -Corrosion on the inside of the bearing is nearly eliminated.
